Kalami Corfu

Kalami Bay, up on Corfu’s northern coast, is a true gem. It’s this picturesque horseshoe-shaped bay that feels like it was plucked from a movie scene. You’ve got these stunning views of the Ionian Sea all around, and the whole area is dotted with charming hillside villages. What’s cool is that back in the 1930s, the famous writer Lawrence Durrell actually lived here.
And speaking of movies, Kalami has had its fair share of the spotlight. It featured in “Tycoon” with Anthony Quinn in 1978 and made an appearance in the James Bond film “For Your Eyes Only” with Roger Moore in 1981.
Now, when it comes to the food and fun, you won’t be disappointed. There are loads of beachfront tavernas, restaurants, and beach bars. It’s got a relaxed, family-friendly vibe with just the right amount of buzz. Plus, you’ve got all sorts of water sports to dive into, like water skiing, canoeing, and pedaloes. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you can even rent a boat right there to explore nearby beaches. Some of them are like hidden treasures only accessible by sea.
